Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the lovelies over at The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme: Bookish Resolutions. While bookish to an extent, most of my resolutions have to do with blogging.
- Learn how to do really pretty graphics like Shannon over at River City Reading and Leah over at Books Speak Volumes.
- Go to more book related events in Edinburgh, especially at Looking Glass Books.
- Go to either the BEA in New York or the London Book Fair.
- Write more content that is not a book review.
- Learn what all my stats from WordPress mean and how i can use them more effectively.
- Read fewer books more carefully.
- Put myself out there and take more risks with the aim of increasing my audience at 52 Books or Bust.
- Participate in more events out there in the blogosphere like Bloggiesta.
- Expand my network of book bloggers in the UK.
- Enjoy books and everything have to offer.
You and I have some similar goals, like learning to use our stats better and create graphics. I’m also interested in attending BEA this year. It would be amazing to actually meet some book bloggers in 2014! Good luck with everything this year!
Great list, good luck with them
I’ve seen #6 on several lists today. It’s a great goal — too often I read a book so fast I don’t take time to savor the words. Thanks for reminding me that it’s okay to go slow and really ENJOY a book.
Happy New Year!
I would definitely love to participate in the community more too. The few blogging events that I have joined have been a lot of fun!
Shannon and Leah do have some great graphics! Hopefully we’ll both get better at that this year 🙂 I’m also trying to do 4 and 8 this year, as well as trying to meet more bloggers in person.
Some wonderful goals/resolutions!
I think those are all manageable :). Hooray for taking risks!
You’re right, Shannon’s blog always looks very pretty. And going to BEA would be exciting indeed, do you think you will be able to?
I’m hoping to be able to. I’m in the process of getting UK citizenship and I have to cede my passport for up to 6 months. It couldn’t possibly take that long, could it? So if i get my passport back in time I will be heading to the BEA.
As a blogger is the London Book Fair worth going to?
