I’m really excited about this week’s Cover Wars. First, I loved Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan (review) and it will soon be available in paperback in North America; and second, there are lots of versions of this cover floating around out there. So without further ado, the covers!
Cover 1 – North American, hard cover
Cover 2 – North America, paperback
Cover 2 – Unknown, Australia?
Cover 4 – UK
There seems to be a few variations on Cover 1 out there, with shiny paper or the colors reversed, or sometimes even with a black background. Cover 2 and 3 are quite subtle. And I’ve noticed that although Crazy Rich Asians was originally released in the UK with Cover 4, you can now get a variation of Cover 1.
So, I’ll leave you to it. Which cover most appeals to you? Which one would drive you to pick it up?

I can’t vote because I like all four covers! It’s probably a tie between covers 2 and 4.
I love the first and second cover! I can’t decide between the two. I LOVE the bold colours of the first and I love how elegant and chic she looks in the second! Great designs. I don’t mind the third one but it wouldn’t lead me to picking the book up immediately. I’m not too attached to the fourth.
I’m quite fond of all the covers except the 4th. It does nothing for me. I’m not surprised that they re-released it with a variation on the first cover.
I have the pink and gold one but I would have picked up 1, 2 or 3! I do not like the 4th and would never have looked at that one. Man this book was delicious. Perfect summer read. I wouldn’t mind reading it again!
Don’t like 2 at all. 3 is too subtle. 1 is my fav then 4.

It’s rare that I dislike most of the covers, but that’s the case here. I’ll go with #1 since it’s sparkly. lol

So funny – a while back I did a “Book Cover Face-Off” on my blog with US vs. French covers and I used a similar image for the banner. Great minds think alike, if I do say so myself 🙂

Thanks for your vote of confidence. The whole thing came about bc i’m a new implant to the UK and book covers here just don’t work for me (though that is starting to change).
I love the second cover–like someone else mentioned, it looks very chic 😀
