Hands Down Best Fiction: All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr.
Best Non-Fiction: Savage Harvest by Carl Hoffman.
Best Book That I Wish I Had Written: Euphoria by Lily King.
Best Book I Should Have Read Sooner: A Visit From The Good Squad by Jennifer Egan.
Best Laugh Out Loud Funny Book: Dear Committee Members by Julie Schumacher.
Best New To Me Author: Christos Tsiolkas. I read Barracuda and am desperate to read more by him.
Best Allegedly Science Fiction: The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell.
Best Title: The Mother Who Loved All Her Children, Until They Moved Back In by Ludmilla Petrushevshaya.
52 books or bust

I love that The Sparrow is the Best Allegedly Science Fiction. 100% accurate. And so excited that you loved Euphoria…it’s such a great book.

Great categories. 🙂 I really apparently need to read ALL THE LIGHT WE CANNOT SEE. Basically every reader I trust has loved it. A VISIT FROM THE GOON SQUAD is also high on my list.
I didn’t want to read All The Light, but just a few pages in and i knew it was going to be great. I’m recommending it to everyone, so go read it now!
We’re in heated agreement on the Doerr – I just loved it (but still can’t get the words around why… It was just perfect in so many ways).
I’m a huge fan of Tsiolkas – he makes for gritty, uncomfortable reading. If you haven’t read The Slap, put it on the list.
I still haven’t read Goon Squad – it’s a serious gap in my reading as so many trusted reading friends rate it very highly.
And agree, Dear Committee Members was great fun.

The Slap is high on my list to read. Tsiolkas does uncomfortable so well. And i was actually floored by Goon Squad. I wish i’d read it sooner. And who knows why Doerr is so great, but he is.

I’m so thrilled whenever I see The Sparrow on someone’s list! And I have All the Light We Cannot See waiting on my ereader. Maybe I’ll tackle it in January.
Tackle Doerr. It is a long book that will take no time to read. It’s that good.

Oh, I love your list. Once I read “All the Light….” I knew that nothing could compare for me this year. It was also my number one pick. Euphoria was the best, seemingly under read book of the year. And, like you, I’ve had the Goon Squad on my “to read” list for ages and haven’t gotten there. Now I will. Thanks for your beautiful blog.

Doerr and The Sparrow are very high up my TBR. I have no idea why I haven’t read them as so many trusted sources love them. Hopefully I’ll love them as much as you did. Have a fantastic 2015!

Oh I don’t know. Every now and then I look at the different templates available on WP. I’ve had this design for a year and WP has added some new templates since then. Whenever I get bored I start looking for a change.
