I wasn’t going to post from Paris, but then this happened
I wasn’t going to buy anything because I need a new book like I need a hole in my head.
And then I saw this… daring me.
Not a book I want, but my mom immediately said, “The Mill On The Floss! I’ve been meaning to read that. So, happy ending.
I’m envious. Not for Mill on the Floss but for just being there! (Lice and all)
It’s been rainy but great. And the lice are gone.
So fun, thanks for sharing!
Happy ending indeed. Enjoy your trip and stay out of the rain.
Too lovely. I’m in the middle of The Mill on the Floss – enjoying it. But a copy from Shakespeare and Co would be even better! Enjoy Paris
Agreed.
I was there in December. The bookshop sells just the same stuff as everywhere else (more or less), so that wasn’t too special. But the shop itself is a great thing, with books everywhere and little corners and all that! The lucky dip is a fun idea – I didn’t see it when I was there.
So true, all the same books, but I’m intrigued by the history of the place.
That’s really cool that they do that 😀 I hope you’re enjoying your time in Paris! 🙂
Paris was superb.
That looks lovely! I keep saying at my store we should do stuff like the lucky dip, but I work for a chain so that won’t happen.
Where do you work? Quite likely my former employer if it’s a Canadian bookstore, or ehm “cultural department store”, if they’re still trying to push that.
Ooh love that Lucky Dip! Glad you found a keeper, even if for your mom!
My library often does a lucky dip as well, which I love because you can just return it!
